Evolving into an immersive soundscape, ‘Time Stops’ is driven by a steady beat, shuffled percussion, and a bouncy bassline, with a spoken vocal layering in to enrich the arrangement as textural pads and underlying synths join the mix. With the track moving forward, melodic details introduce stimulating energy, incorporating pulsating leads that weave amongst the processed vocals. As the breakdowns add diversity to the sonic experience, Alex Kislov exploits tension-building techniques to raise the intensity and guide towards the drop, where the return of the thumping beats and lively synth hook reunite the listener with the track’s motivating energy.
