That was not nice. That was not nice. Especially when I'm not feeling well. Especially when you're so deeply compromised.

Is it in your blood? There is something in my blood. In your veins. In your veins.

Oh my gosh. I got a visitor. It like came. I got a visitor.

It came and said hi and something's in you and taking me over. What is it, Lou? What is it? Lou?

Hi, I'm Lou. I have limes. I think it's lime. I have lime.

Is that what Sean Lennon said? Yes. That's how I met Sean Lennon. That's the first thing he said to me.

That's been in the family lore for a long time. I love Sean Lennon. Just to be clear. That's a no shade.

This is simply saying it was really, really funny that that's how I met him. I heard him say that many times. Oh, that he had lime? Yeah.

It was like a constant. He was like part of that early celebrity. Kathleen Hannah had it. She did.

Oh yeah. She got a terrible case of it. She struggled with it for years. I think she must have come out of it to a degree because Bikini Kill are playing shows.

But yeah. It can be very debilitating. I think I mean, I wonder what happens then. So is it like a case where maybe she had it and she didn't know she had it?

That's what I'm going with because I have a really good idea when I got it. I got it in fucking New Hampshire because yeah. Hey, why not? New Hampshire.

When we were dropping off Izzy for sleep away camp, we were there for a couple of days. Some podcast people might remember this from the sleep away episode. And when we were like, we went for a canoe ride, there was a loon. We laid on the beach.

I did the thing that I really try not to these days. Is that a beautiful day in nature? Because nature is full of ticks everywhere and everybody's got lime. It bites the fuck out of you.

Everybody has lime, but we had I went I went way outside my comfort zone and went outside. Yeah, you did. I'm on trees. I went out to trees and bees and bugs and things.

I sat on a beach with like a you know, shorts on. Yeah. We even saw a tick. We saw a nice big fat tick, although I don't it's the little ones.

I know. I that one was just maybe like a show tick. I was just like just so you know. My friend is over there right now.

My baby's sticking his tiny little pin. I dropped one of babies off on your ankle. Yeah, I'm just walking his way up through that leg here right now. I almost got to my ball sack right before the ball sack.

Yeah, it's a nice inner thigh little howdy do a little big ring. It's a big ring. I got to show it to a to a lady today, a lady doctor to my GP actually. Actually my general practitioner guys.

This is great. I walked into the doctor's office in the first thing she said was how's it del? Can I hear you have a show today? And I was like wow.

It was amazing. And she looked at me with the most like we were a family. Yeah. I was like who is?

I love her. Well, she gave me out of her because maybe that can get me through the fucking brain thing. And so for the last the last two three weeks, I thought I was going insane. I thought I was losing my mind.

You your your health was is devolved a word. Were you devolving? I thought it was depression. I honest to God thought that I was becoming like mortally depressed.

Like a midlife crisis. I was like, well, this is it. This is the crisis. Now I don't care about anything.

I don't want to go anywhere. I don't want to do the podcast. I never want to make music again. I never want to I and like, you know, I started reading political things and I was like, well, I'm like, yep, that's it.

Here goes. I'm but it's fucking lime. It's just a tick bite, baby. I have to say since my diagnosis earlier this afternoon, I feel energized by it.

Yeah. I feel energized. I'm like, that's it. And it almost makes me go like, I can do even more.

Yeah. Because now I have a syndrome. I have a thing. Oh, biting song.

You're a man. But I did. Frank. Frank.

Frank. Frank. Frank. Frank.

Frank. Frank. Frank. Don't go changing to try to please me.

You never let me down before. And don't imagine you to familiar and I don't see you anymore. I would not leave you in time to trouble. We never would have got this far I'll take the good times.

I'll take the bad times. I'll take you just the way you are. Don't want clever conversation I never want one, I just want someone I can talk to I want you just the way you are Frank Who's Frank? We wait a long time for you We wait a long time We wait a long time for me We wait a long time I don't love Don't forget it It's just a silly face I'm going through And just because I call you up I don't get me wrong Don't think you got any I'm not in love No, no, no I like to see you But then again That doesn't mean you mean that much to me So if I call you Don't make a fuss And don't tell your friends about the two of us I'm not in love No, no It's because a long time for me We wait a long time A long time for me A long time If you picture Upon the wall That has a nasty stain It's slimy So don't you ask me to give back I know you know it doesn't mean that much to me I'm not in love No, no It's because Meet Shark Cryoglo The new MedSpot inspired mask with under-eye cooling IQ LED technology Using high-powered LED and deep infrared For visible results in just eight weeks Better aging treatment boosts collagen And is clinically tested to reduce fine lines and signs of aging Skin clearing provides chemical-free acne treatment On and beneath the surface And even visibly tightens under-eyes in one use Developed with dermatologists for radiant results at home Learn more at sharkninjat.ca Do you keep hearing podcast ads?

Tom Sharpling? He's like, it is a huge part of his personality I think he even named his production company like Fuck You Billy Joel He hates it He hates, hates Billy Joel Oh wow, you should send him that song You're gonna like this one But I've always really liked that song Beautiful lines of it That's only, that's a cherry-picked version of the song Because it's actually the song itself What's it called?

Somebody say, I have lines! I have brain flops Just the way you are I was blinking out too I don't even have line, I don't know The other song is called I'm Not in Love So, I think this is really good, like just the way I'm not That's the name of my medley Wait, yeah, I was like, wait a minute, was that two songs? Yeah, and then went into I'm Not in Love Yeah, because I was like having a moment listening and going Maybe I didn't know that song as well as I thought I did And maybe I thought that the song was actually that one interesting I'm Not in Love is an incredible hit song It's an incredible experimental pop Sensation from the 70s I realized that I really wanted to do my research About that and give people a lot of fun facts But it's an incredible song from the 70s, I absolutely love it It's a masterpiece of vocal overdubbing and spacious It's incredible And it was written by a guy Graham Goldman Who as a teenager wrote some of the biggest songs of the 60s Like for the Hollies and the Yardbirds He wrote an incredible song called Bus Stop when he was a fucking kid And then he went on to a band called Tennessee See who are extremely interesting A lot of the kids know a lot of the hipsters are turned on to Tennessee They sort of got lost in the 70s for people like me Or people of my ilk of my... They kind of forgot about them, but the fact is they're fucking weird as shit And they've got some incredible hips But here's the point, every time that I sing just the way you are to myself Right in the middle after Billy says, Frank!

I always hear ooh you wait a long time for me They are like inextricably linked Just like a summer of 69 and that Taylor Swift song Oh yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah Link Space or no? It's not a good story It's not a good story But I have certain songs that go right automatically into other songs To another song, yeah And the podcast has been a vehicle for me to explore that And share with people these associations that I have I have a really heavy association with just the way you are And I'm not allowed by TensorFlow That's my cover, that's my pitchy Ooh, Maniri Yup, limey Blurry fucking version of it, but I had to do it Yeah, I had to be done I love my podcast Yeah, you do turns out you love doing the podcast I wanted to quit everything everybody a week ago I was just like this is fucking it I'm like, Dinosaur Junior have a tour coming up Which starts today Tonight, yay Here's a fun thing, here's something fun This is for you all, it's for me and Adele too We are not telling anybody within the Dinosaur Junior organization That I have lines And line Line We're gonna see who actually listens And this is another thing that I really attempt to do And it's two really fun things that I try to do with Dinosaur Junior I try to have my birthday When my birthday comes on a dinosaur Junior tour You're always gone You're always on a tour I see if anybody wishes me happy birthday on the tour They do But they didn't for years It was like a contest, I'm like, okay is anybody gonna say anything It's just like I had There was years where no one was like, I always considered it kind of a victory I don't know why, maybe it's a little bit of a like Self-def, I don't know what it is It's that terrible, the thing that came and visited me with the lines as well That's sort of the feeling sorry for yourself And not just like, what it feels like, it was more like I'm a piece of shit And everything I just said I'm a victim And I should stop doing everything now Please everybody send me my records so I can make a fucking bonfire in my backyard And burn everything I've ever done Let's just get rid of it So I don't have to think about it anymore And I'm gonna I'm going to go to school to be a nurse But I'm tired I don't know what I'm gonna do I was like, time to go Time to be put out into the Arctic Time to go way north and just wander Wander into a glacier That's where I was at earlier Well you know, you're gonna have a really fun tour Frank Yeah, thanks for Junior, Snail Mail and Frank and on that same action Tiny Tunes Tuesday, Terminates Not done Tiny Tunes Tuesday, Terminates No fucking done The musical subsidiary of Thiran Prussians Popchast Thank you for listening Are you here? Who's hearing the newsday? On this Tuesday?

Frank Keep going I cannot wait to see how long it takes for anybody to say I have lines on the tour This is gonna be so much fun Well it's gonna get around tonight Someone will say something tonight Oh that's a line I'm like, hell it out He's on medication guys He got his Doxy and I got my I got my It's really great to look forward to What? It's to be on antibiotics which really fuck up your digestive system I'm gonna go on a bus You can't go to the bathroom I'm gonna go get you some stuff Yeah, the first place we're gonna be parked is probably like a parking lot in New York City Amazing It's gonna be great So if I wake up with cramps On your birthday On my birthday I'm gonna have diarrhea on the streets of New York On my birthday You know what? I just wanna say Boo hoo poor you I'm glad you don't do that anymore We all know Lou definitely Could you know Rain and some of the poor me still That's still there right But the birthday thing ever since we've been together Which is quite a while now I think A you've always been on tour for your birthday Typically with Dinosaur Jr And they always celebrate They bring you a fucking cake And wish you a happy birthday on stage You know Don Brannan's going to be like No they don't Yes they do No they don't No they don't That's not true Tell them that John Brannananan has actually brought you a birthday cake John Brannan cares That guy cares He brought you a birthday cake I like to forget Good things and concentrate on bad things I'm excited to see John tonight and say hi Oh man One more thing before this fades away Um Frank Yeah who's Frank? Okay In the course of Billy Joel's masterpiece Uh huh John Sharpling Masterpiece Hi Tom Okay From Billy Joel one of the most interesting songwriters Really he just is It was a B.J.

Medley Well that was not a Medley No that was a B.J. Ken C.C. Medley Oh okay Okay Frank he says that in the middle of the song just before the saxophone solo Okay Only saxophone solo's that I personally would say like hey that's great Bring on the saxophone It took me years to figure out what he did because he goes Frank and I'm like what must be the fucking saxophone player He's killing the saxophone Yes like comment like Frank come in and play my heart With that throaty saxophone Speak for my heart I put my heart on the line it sounds The song seems a lot like he wrote it after having a terrible fight If you really go through all the verses it seems like he was kind of like That was an offering to a lover Because they had a if they had a spat Because his songs are very intense and there's a lot of really intense Relationship song songs that he has I mean really I think of him as an extremely intense person There's nothing about him that comes off his chill to me No which I think maybe fuels some people Some people to you know kind of go like what's with that guy why is he? He's got an edge He's got an edge But I took the edges out of that cover Yeah I just put the lines that I wanted to say to you You put the lines that you wanted to say to me?

I put the lines I think God's lines is not contagious Yeah I be fucked Meet shark cryo glow The new med spa inspired mask with under eye cooling IQ LED technology using high powered LED and deep infrared for visible results in just eight weeks Better aging treatment boosts collagen and is clinically tested to reduce fine lines and signs of aging Skin clearing provides chemical free acne treatment on and beneath the surface And even visibly tightens under eyes in one use Developed with dermatologists for radiant results at home Learn more at sharkninja.ca You've got social dial then Search is doing its thing So why do your marketing results look the same as six months ago?
