from KASHISH SANDHU's Podcast( Certified Parenting Coach) · host KASHISH SANDHU
Childhood ScarsIt's time to pause, feel, and begin healingFrom Silent Pain to Gentle Healing. These are the hidden wounds we carry from our early years, painful memories, harsh words, broken trust, or confusing moments we didn’t fully understand, but deeply felt. Even though the past may seem far away, these scars quietly shape who we are, how we love, and how we see the world. This is a reflection on those silent battles we fought as children and how they still whisper to us today. Listen Without Judging When your child talks, don’t correct, fix, or preach right away. Just listen. That’s often what they need most.Heal Yourself First Your unhealed wounds can silently pass on to your children. Start your healing journey—therapy, journaling, or mindfulness. A healed parent raises a safe child.Validate Their Feelings Say things like, “I can see that really upset you,” or “It’s okay to feel sad.” This builds emotional intelligence and trust.Don’t Compare Them—Not Even to Yourself Your child is not you. They have their own journey, struggles, and strengths. Honor their uniqueness.Model What You Preach Want them to be kind? Be kind. Want them to say sorry? Say sorry. Children learn by watching, not just hearing.Apologize When You Mess Up It doesn’t make you weak—it makes you real. It teaches them accountability and emotional maturity.Create Safe Spaces A child who feels emotionally safe at home is more likely to open up when real struggles show up. Let your home be that safe haven.Teach Boundaries Gently Kids don’t need strict control—they need clear, respectful boundaries. This builds both trust and responsibility.Celebrate Small Wins Whether they tied their shoelaces or handled a tough situation—acknowledge their efforts. It builds confidence.Never Stop Saying “I Love You” Especially on the hard days. Especially when they mess up. Especially when they act like they don’t care. Say it anyway.Support the showAuthor of Parenting Books, Check for my books:- https://mindfulparenteencircle.in/Check YouTube :https://www.youtube.com/@KashishSandhuBaghelFacebook-https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61577789373754
