I was personally holding so much shame around my parenting style, how my child was behaving and how i was being judged by others. Turn off the outside noiseI remember being told to visualise a cone of around me and my child in a public situation and allowing all of my focus to be on them, not the opinions of anyone else. But what my child needed from me in that moment. Game changing to remember that I was there to guide my child, not please the audience.   AdvocateNoone knows your child like you do. So advocate for what you know. This is why its imperative to be in touch with your own inner knowing. Its so hard to stand in your power and argue with the school principal, whom your child may have just called a lil btch. But you really do know best! Believe in your child.
