La última foto es cada foto Estaba parado al lado de mi viejo y él sentado en su lugar de la mesa en el comedor de arriba de nuestra casa en la primera sección de islas en el Tigre. Allí muchas casas tienen dos plantas, porque se sabe que la de abajo se inunda seguido y por eso vale la pena aclarar esto del comedor de arriba. Cuando no es así, hay una sola planta y elevada para evitar los daños que las inevitables crecientes del río generarían en las viviendas. Tan frecuente la inundación como la bajante y con la necesidad de limpiar para remover los sedimentos de limo y mugres diversas, se hacía todo tan automático que a veces ni recordamos que fue lo último que hicimos. Todo se vuelve semejante a un comportamiento repetitivo y anticipable cada vez que el viento rota al sudeste y se sostiene fuerte. Era un domingo nublado y recién habíamos terminado de almorzar. Era su cumpleaños número 42, mamá nos hacía esa foto sin que ninguno supiera que sería nuestra última fotografía juntos.
