TillumTipToge.com, the podcast about pop culture, black history, and spirituality. It's about to be a great part. Dr. Till, gone and take it away.

Tillum Tip Toge. Hey y'all, hey. Good morning. It's your girl, Tip.

From Tillum Tip Toge and I am so happy you've joined me. I'm introducing a new segment today, actually not a new segment, a new format. In between our regular podcast, I'm going to start going to TIFFs, Pits. And TIFFs are just quick little uploads where I want to share with you some of my favorite proverbs and sayings and short stories to communicate a general idea for you.

So let's start today with a kitty and proverb that says, all monkeys cannot hang on the same branch. This is why I love this for right now. Some of you have seen that social media meme going around that says something about if you don't come out of this quarantine with a new skill or a new talent or a new business, the problem is that you're not disciplined. And then on the other hand, people have corrected that meme to say something about it's okay to rest during this period.

Here's the thing. Both can be true at the same time because all monkeys cannot hang on the same branch. For some of us, this period is perfect for rest. We need to recalibrate, we need to reset, right?

And sometimes it takes time to think, time to physically heal, and that includes rest. But some of us are in a place where we've been wanting some things to change, and right now we have a lot of time to make it work. And so we do need to be using this time to work. Both things can be true.

We don't all have to have the same experience right now. The world is made more beautiful throughout diversity. Alright? Tell them to tell them to.
