TJGT Holiday Classic at Barton Creek

The Holiday Classic at Barton Creek is the largest holiday event in the country. It was played December 27th-29th 2007 at the beautiful Barton Creek Resort and Spa in Austin, Texas. Over 200 golfers from eight states and Mexico teed it up in this 54-hole Golfweek ranked event that was attended by several college coaches representing conferences from all over like, the SEC, Big VII, Mountain West, and the ACC. Also in attendance were coaches from independents schools with no conference affiliation and several Junior College coaches as well. The 12-15 Boys and all Girls played from 5,900 yards on the Fazio Foothills course. Barton Creek Resort & Spa’s signature golf course is an astonishingly beautiful design masterpiece by Tom Fazio. The architectural layout features dramatic cliff-lined fairways, natural limestone caves, waterfalls, and superb tiff-eagle bermuda greens, which gives golfers 18 holes of pure pleasure with no lack of challenge. This unforgettable golfing experience provides plenty of elevation change and visual impact. The 16-18 Boys played from 6,630 yards on the Crenshaw Cliffside course.
