TKG Ep 90 Koepka Takes 3 Majors In New York State

from The Knackered Golfist Podcast · host The Knackered Golfist

Send Me A Text Message I would love to know where you are listening to me from!!Hello Again Fellow Golfists,Well Brooks Koepka just won his third Major Championship in New York State.  He dominated on Sunday during the final round of the 2023 PGA Championship at Oak Hill CC in Pittsford New York, just outside of Rochester.  He won with a winning score of 9 under par over Viktor Hovland and Scottie Scheffler.  This marks his fifth major championship win.  A little known PGA professional named Michael Block from Arroyo Trabuco GC in Mission Viejo, California stole America's hearts and minds with his final round play yesterday finishing in 15th place allowing him to be exempt into the PGA at Valhalla in 2024.  His play on the back nine was written very much like a screenplay for a Tin Cup type of movie.  The roar after his hole in one on the 15th hole was very similar to a Buffalo Bills touchdown pass in the final seconds of an AFC Playoff game.  I had a good time watching the final round on CBS yesterday and also am thankful that they completed all of the play on Saturday during the rain to then finish on Sunday at the regularly scheduled ending time.  Very much looking forward now to the 2023 US Open at Los Angeles CC next month.  Thank you so much for listening to The Knackered Golfist Podcast!Let someone know that you see them today.       Support the show#theknackeredgolfistpodcast@theknackeredgolfistCheck out The Knackered Golfist on YouTubehttps://www.youtube.com/@TheKnackeredGolfistOughton's Golf Repairhttps://oughtonsgolf.com/Thank a Veteran Today!!https://www.pgareach.org/services/militaryThe Observant Ear Radio Network GOD Bless You!!
