The team realizes they cannot kill Savage, so instead decide to go after his assets and try to weaken him that way. The team encounters Savage's devoted followers while recovering Carter's body. Captain Cold has his own agenda, taking Heatwave and Jax to steal the very emerald his dad was caught stealing, which led to his imprisonment and becoming an angry, abusive father. Through his endeavors to save his father, we learn more about preserving the timeline. Dr. Stein and Ray, while finding a way to save Kendra's life, also have to deal with their differences.
