Tlingit Stories and Conversation

This week on “Gunalchéesh!”, we will hear work in the Tlingit language by Dr. Lance Twitchell.  We will hear stories Dr. Twitchell recorded told by Sophie Smarch and Cyril George as well as part of a conversation between Ida Calmegane and Bessie Cooley.  We will also hear Dr. Twitchell speak in Tlingit. In between segments, hear two songs by Sondra Segundo (Haida) as well as songs by Charlie Joseph (Tlingit), Pamyua (Yupik), Khu.éex' (Tlingit), Terri-Lynn Williams-Davidson (Haida), and Robert Davidson.  Hosted by K'yuuhlgáansii (kyooth-GAWN-see, "Place of One's Own", Haida) on Lingit Aani (Tlingit land) in Sitka, Alaska.
