TLRH | ‘Think of all the differences!’: Mixed Marriages in 21st Century Adaptations of Chaucer

Tuesday, 2 February 2021, 4 – 5pm A research seminar by Dr Brendan O'Connell (TCD) as part of the School of English Staff-Postgraduate Seminar Series 2020-21 in association with Trinity Long Room Hub. Brendan O’Connell is a lecturer in medieval literature at the School of English, Trinity College Dublin. He has research interests in fourteenth and fifteenth-century poetry, and particularly in the reception of Chaucer in early modern and contemporary literature. The Staff-Postgraduate Seminar Series is a fortnightly meeting which has been integral to the School of English research community since the 1990s. The aim of the seminar series is to provide a relaxed and convivial atmosphere for staff and students to present their research to their peers. The series also welcomes distinguished guest lecturers from the academic community outside Trinity College to present on their work. It is a fantastic opportunity to share ideas and engage with the diverse research taking place within the School.
