TLRS Ep.48 - The "Happy Birthday" Copyright

This week on The Little Radio Show we talk about all things nerdy (from an entertainment point of view) ... ... the end of TV show "Person of Interest," considered to be one of the best science fiction shows on the small screen ... ... and our opinion on season 6 of "Game of Thrones" and the secrets revealed in the season finale ... did you know that there's a mariachi version of their theme song? (We can thank my co-host Juan Alanis for pointing this out ... ... and yes, Wilmer Valderrama was in the television version of "Minority Report" and will be on NCIS starting the fall (it somes up in conversation) ... ... and 'The Walking Dead" show creators added new characters and don't let the comic books dictate the entire storyline, which provides some nice surprises for die-hard fans ... ... and "True Blood" (on HBO) did the same thing, though not as well ... ... and, did you know that the song "Happy Birthday" was copyrighted? Well, it's not anymore! Which means that the company that had claimed to own the copyright will have to pay back $14 million. It also means that the song is in public domain, and we don't have to pay to use it in movies, etc... ... and, from the word nerd files, the words "internet" and "web" are no longer capitalized, according to Associated Press. So, even though you may not have been capitalizing them (up until now), now you'll be correct. "The Little Radio Show" is on HMSNetRadio.org on Thursdays at 2 pm (CST).
