His developing style has that Old Skool Detroit Classic feel mixed with driving beats anywhere from tribal to experimental. After dissecting his favorite hip hop tracks to find all those dope samples, he soon upgraded from vinyl to laptop — the next best thing without the hard work of hauling and searching crates. Prophet Ecks's repertoire also extends beyond hip hop, and on any given night you may hear him spin house, tech house, electro, techno, classic breaks, jazz, rock, or whatever he feels fits the mood.
