About Dr. Kalvin Lung Dr. Lung is board certified in General Surgery and Thoracic Surgery. His clinical interests include minimally invasive thoracic surgery, lung cancer, esophageal cancer, GERD, hiatal hernia, mediastinal tumors, chest wall tumors, lung transplantation, and ECMO for lung failure. Dr. Lung completed his medical training at University of Toronto and went on to an academic residency in General Surgery at Western University. Following General Surgery training, he completed a fellowship in Thoracic Surgery and Lung Transplantation at University of Toronto. Dr. Lung also completed a Master of Science in Epidemiology from the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health. He was recruited to Northwestern Medicine in 2020.
