To Cut or Not to Cut? This Is the Wrong Question

Should the Federal Reserve cut interest rates or hold them steady? The debate is raging with plausible arguments on both sides, but Money Metals Midweek Memo podcast host Mike Maharrey thinks we're debating the wrong question.  In this episode, Mike argues that the real question is why we let central planners control interest rates in the first place.
