To kneel or not to kneel

This is one of the hottest issues in our country right now- Should players kneel during the national anthem? What should we make of this controversy? Are these spoiled millionaires trying to draw attention to themselves or is this a peaceful protest trying to highlight a valid issue? Or something in between?
