To Live, to Die

Everyone builds life around something, whether comfort, approval, control, success, or Christ. Writing from prison and facing trial, Paul says Christ gives his life its purpose and makes death a gain rather than a final loss. This is not a death wish. Jesus conquered death through His death and resurrection, so Paul can desire to be with Him while gladly remaining for the church's growth and joy.
