(3:00) Rick begins by summarizing today's topic regarding Rick and Gina's story in terms of finances and real estate in particular. (5:15) Gina explains that lifestyle changes and self awareness are key to becoming successful with finances. (6:15) Within relationships, Rick encourages partnerships to figure out who is better with dealing with money. (7:30) Rick and Gina's story begins, Rick explaining where he was in the business world at 25 when he began dating Gina. (9:00) Rick's company, United Wood Products, began in 2006. He explains the first mistakes he made when he was wasting money on unnecessary purchases. (11:40) Rick's company hits a recession. He talks about his hardships and extreme losses from 2008-2011. (13:40) Rick's company's decline leads to him having to sell his family's house, where Gina was pregnant at the time. At this point he is heavily in debt.
