The great threat of compromise to avoid pain or to enjoy gain was exacerbated by false teachers who taught a message of compromise. With some in the church having fallen to such teaching and failed in their worship, Jesus calls on the church to repent of compromise and repent of not dealing with those who are teaching and living out compromise.
