Since cryptocurrencies are not supported by any centralized repository, their valuation is critically dependent on collective perceptions of their worth – and the subsequent trust in them. Yet, can trust be utilized to understand the changes in the prices of cryptocurrencies? Does the trust of regulators matter more (or less) than the trust of buyers and sellers of cryptocurrencies? Liberous' trust model assumes that currency valuation is determined by the decisions made by market players. These decisions, in turn, are determined by the market player’s perceptions of the macroeconomic situation, currency stability, possible regulatory actions, and other contextual elements that together form trust into a given cryptocurrency.
