Did Ole Miss get high off its own supply? Maybe Jaxson Dart and the Ole Miss offense after first four weeks. ‘Cause they got knocked in the mouth against Kentucky and wilted. Hello again, friends, and welcome inside an unfortunate edition of Talk of Champions — powered, as always by RiverLand Roofing and the Ole Miss Spirit. The Rebels are 4-1 and 0-1 in SEC games. No, it’s not over; Ole Miss wins the rest of its regular-season games and it’s in College Football Playoff. But 10 wins with a loss to Kentucky isn’t going to cut it, not to mention Ole Miss gave its non-believers all the ammunition they needed to not take the Rebels seriously until Georgia in November. Ole Miss was favored in each of its remaining games, according to ESPN. But when finally given the opportunity to shut its doubters up, the Rebels leaned all they way into their absolute worst impulses. We’re not angry; just disappointed.Kentucky’s physicality noticeably took the air out of Ole Miss’ sails. One-sided officiating is excuse-making. I didn’t see that fire. The swag. The air-it-out, YOLO style (on offense, mostly) that has made Ole Miss what it is under fifth-year head coach Lane Kiffin.I saw timidness. Players unsure of themselves. A game plan completely in a pretzel when off script. All things of a typical Lane Kiffin team at Ole Miss. But this wasn’t supposed to be a typical Lane Kiffin team at Ole Miss. It was supposed to be a title contender. Now it’s a bubble team fighting for its life. Our Sponsors:* Check out BetterHelp and use my code betterhelp.com for a great deal: https://www.betterhelp.com* Check out BetterHelp and use my code betterhelp.com for a great deal: https://www.betterhelp.com* Check out Quince and use my code quince.com/toc for a great deal: https://www.quince.com* Check out Underdog Fantasy and use my code CHAMPIONS for a great deal: https://underdogfantasy.com* Check out Underdog Fantasy and use my code CHAMPIONS for a great deal: https://underdogfantasy.comAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
