Today is National Voter Registration day. A person of interest has been taken into custody hours after a 68-year-old woman was found assaulted and killed north of the Twin Cities. For the first time in a long time, more Minnesotans are buckling up every time they get behind the wheel. The Hennepin County Attorneys Office is announcing criminal charges against the woman involved in a deadly hit and run over the weekend in downtown Minneapolis. St Paul police investigating that city's latest homicide. It happened just before 12:30 this morning on the 12-hundred block of University Avenue near Griggs.
