We return on all glory and all honor to you. Thank you for your love. It's a privilege to worship you. Thank you for the finished work of your son and the cross of Calvary.

You wanna give us confidence to call you Father. You wanna give us boldness to call him friend. He's a friend indeed. Thank you, Jesus.

We ask this money that you speak to us. You want to speak from my own knowledge. I want you to speak to us directly. We need your wisdom.

Guide my heart. Guide my thoughts. Guide my talk. Guide my heart, transits.

And at the end of the day, we pray that we hold the blessed and rejoice in your presence, in Jesus' name, amen. First of all, I will say thank you for the opportunity given to me by not Brooke Bible Chapel. To share my thought in the presence of the people of God. This morning, I have been able to assemble my talk and give it a title.

I don't know if that's the best title. Sometimes you have them coming, I just have to give a title. And I've chosen the name Jesus. While we stay at that title, I want us to ask ourselves a question.

Our precious is that name to me. Don't answer me. It's something we have to ask ourselves. Privately, you can't answer for your husband, you can't answer for your wife, you can't answer for your children.

It's a question, more like a rhetorical one. Now we have to ask ourselves. And what the essence of this is to everluate our knowledge, our understanding of the person named Jesus Christ. There is this, something like formula.

Am I going to do writing? It is formula that I heard from a preacher. And I love it. And I felt like sharing it with her.

It says, Jesus Christ loves nothing. It was everything. Jesus Christ loves nothing. It was everything.

And what does this mean? It's mean, it's sufficient for us. You don't need to hide anything to it. It has given us that name.

And as believers, if you ask me, that's the only thing we've got, the name of Jesus Christ. It's all that matters to us. In April, chapter 12, verses one to two, we'll be doing a lot of reading. And I wish I can finish everything within the time I have.

It says, there are four things we are surrounded by such huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith. Let us trip off every weight. That slows us down, especially the scene that so easily trips us off. And let us run within the earth.

The race got us set before us. We do this by keeping our highs on Jesus, the champion who initiates and affects our faith. Because of the joy of waiting in, it endured the cross disregarding its shame. Now it is seated in the place of honor beside God's throne.

We do this by keeping our highs on Jesus. Another version says fixing our highs on Jesus. When we are advised this way, it means there will be distractions. But don't be distracted.

Keep your highs on Jesus. It's all that matters. Keep your highs on Jesus. Now, if you've been in, with not book Bible chapel for a while, you will know that it's always been about Jesus.

We talk more about Jesus. We are never tired to talk about that name. It's always God. And this morning, we are still talking about Jesus Christ.

The user, the name Jesus Christ, has a common profanity. How many people here have experienced this before? It's almost a substitute, like a pack of a vocabulary of the languages to express emotions. Maybe hunger, fear, surprise.

Yeah, it was a TV show I stumbled on a couple of months back. And the way the name was used crinked me, like I was shocked. They literally put the F word in the middle of Jesus and Christ. And it was laughing.

Wow. And it dawned on me that it's a subtle effort of the devil to detach the importance of this name, from this name, so that the name becomes just like every other name that can be thrown around and laugh at. It shouldn't be. This is the name Jesus Christ, is what we've got as we live as.

And it should be accorded with deep reverence. The Bible says the lips of the God be speak Elphiwards. Well, the mouth of the wicked speaks for verse words, for verse 10, verse 10, every time you speak about Jesus, the way you speak is bringing honor to his name. Or this honor, our precious is the name Jesus to us.

So let's proceed. It's all about Jesus. Few weeks back, we celebrate that Christmas. And it was fun.

Even though some people have lost the meaning of that period, it's more of a family together time which it could be part of. But that period is a period where we should always remember the love of God. It's like a period we should pick aside to remember the love of God, the part of Jesus Christ. Aside from what I did with my gonna do, who speaks your way?

I know we have a couple of other people that speaks your well-language. And there's an adage in your life that says, Elila Hu, Kato Sommaluroko. Elila Hu, Kato Sommaluroko. What does that mean?

You have to, in your work culture, when your wife is pregnant and is about to give birth to a baby. You, there's this culture of observing your surrounding the situation going on, the relationship between you and your wife. And all these things we have a way of putting it aside and wearing a baby comes using it to form a name that would be given to child. Sounds surprising, right?

For instance, my name is Donu Ashe, and what does Donu Ashe mean? It means God's wish came to pass. So now the day I called my mum and like, you want to tell me the story behind this name? I should set it down.

When you tell you sit down, it doesn't mean it's gonna be a long story. And I don't want to boss with that, but that's the culture you have done name. And anytime you see the child, it reminds you of the situation around that time. For instance, when you see someone in Yoruba called Yietundi, Baba Tundi, Yietundi means in that context, like maybe before the child was born, they lost a grandmother or a mother.

So when the child comes, they want to remember that grandmother or child, alinima Yietundi, that's a female. If it's male, Baba Tundi, Baba, the father, Yietundi has gone again. And this inside, this program gave me more to you about the name Jesus. What does the name Jesus mean?

Matthew chapter one verse 18 to 21, it says, this is how Jesus the Messiah was born. His brother, Mary, was engaged to be married to Joseph. But before the Mary took place, while she was still a virgin, she became pregnant through the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus, the womb, she was engaged.

Sorry, Joseph, the womb she was engaged was a righteous man. And did not want to disbreath her publicly. So, he decided to break the engagement quietly. As he considered this, God saw his ass.

An angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream. Joseph, son of David, the angel said, your wife is in the mission. And I can explain it to you. Do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife.

For the child within her was conceived by the Holy Spirit. And she will have his son. And you are to name in Jesus. For he will save his people from their sins.

Wow, for he will save the people from their sins. Okay, so what's the meaning of Jesus? The meaning of this name, Jesus. Jesus is the human name.

As we just read it, giving to Mary by the angel Gabriel. Christ is his title that signifies or reminds us how it was sent from God to be a king and deliver. I want to make a secret like a confession here. For a long time, I used to think, Christ is the last name of Jesus, like a son name, Jesus Christ.

Son name is the Christ, the first name is Jesus. For a long time, but that's not correct. Christ is his title that signifies or reminds us how it was sent from God to be a king and deliver. The Hebrew name of Jesus is Yeshua, which means God says, for he will save his people from their sins.

Christ comes from the Greek word crystals, meaning an knight, a one or chosen one. This is the Greek equivalent of the Hebrew word, Machek or Messiah. And Andrew gave us a clue about that when he was calling Simon Titter in John Chateau and Vaz Fotzi. We have found the Messiah.

Every time we hear the name Jesus, what comes to our mind? It is an opportunity to refresh our mind, what this name means and what it stands for. The name of Jesus is important because of its meaning and because of whom it represents. The battle of Jesus Christ in this world was to fulfill a divine purpose and his name be as witness to the mission for he will save his people from their sins.

Every time we hear the name, one word comes to our mind, Savior, my Savior. And from that word, something should come again, like it should remind us what is saved us from. It's now or death. First Peter, that I was 18 says, he rescued us, he delivered us, saved us from the shackles of empty life that we inherited from our Savior's and from our ancestors, sorry, empty life.

Romans chapter five reminded us, our sin came into this world. True one man, hada. And by that, it's praise to everyone, everyone. Romans chapter three, verse three expanded on that for all are sinned.

And we all fall shot of God's glorious tender. First John chapter one verse 10 says, if we claim we have not sinned, we are calling God a liar. And showing that his word has no place in our hearts. If we try to be logical, God can we have a discussion?

I don't know what you're talking about. I'm not a sinner. Shut up, you are a sinner. You don't have a text called God, liar.

Romans chapter five, verse 19, because one person disobeyed God, many became sinners. But because one person obeyed God, many will be made righteous. I was having a discussion with someone and it was very furious about hada, right? If not for hada, we wouldn't have been in this situation.

And I'm like, why don't you channel your energy, your emotion into the finished work of Jesus Christ? This God has given us the second hada and he has already completed the work. So with this, maybe we can look into the will of God for us in this contest. This morning, my brother-adorn went shared with us at the communion service.

About second peter, chapter three, verse nine. The Lord isn't really slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.

Jesus Christ came to fulfill the will of God. What is his will? John chapter six, verse 39 to 40, for I have come down from heaven to do the will of God, who sent me not to do my own will. And this is the will of God that I should not lose.

Even one of all those he has given me, but that I should raise them up at the last day, for it is my fad as will that all those who see his son and believe in him should have eternal life. I will raise them up at the last day. God was having a discussion with Zikiram, Nubukah, Zikiram, interpreting it. It's a good read for anyone that is interested.

And when you go to chapter three, it says, do you think I like to see wicked people die? That is God speaking. Do you really think I like to see wicked people die? Say the sovereign Lord.

Of course not. I want them to come from their wicked ways and leave. Let's see how that played out in the book of Jonah. It's one of my favorite story in the Bible.

Jonah chapter three, verse one to ten. We all have an idea of this story. Then they must talk to Jonah a second time. They'll talk and go to the great city of Ninhui and deliver the message I have given you.

This time, Jonah obeyed a Lord's command and went to Ninhui. It's city so large that it took three days to see it all. On the day Jonah enters the city, it shouted to the crowd. 40 days from now, Ninhui will be destroyed.

The people of Ninhui believe God's message and from the greatest to the least, they declare a fast and put on a bola to show their sorrow. When the king of Ninhui heard about what Jonah was saying, it stepped down from his crown and took off his royal robes. It dressed himself in bola and sat on a heap of hashes. The king and his nobles sent his decree throughout the city.

No one, not even the animals from your herds and flocks may eat or drink anything at all. People and animals alike must wear gammas of money and everyone must pray honestly to God. They must turn from their evil ways and talk all their violence who can tell. Perhaps even yet God will change his mind and hold back his fierce hunger from destroying us.

But then when God saw God's they had done and how they had put a stop to the evil ways, he chained his mind and did not carry out the destruction he had threatened. That before, one to time again, this change of plans greatly upset Jonah and he became very hungry. Can you imagine that? And as human, why did he got hungry?

Like we need to know. So he complained to the Lord about it. Did I say before I left all that you will do this Lord? That is why I ran away to Tanish.

Tanish, sorry. I knew that you are immeasiful and compassionate God. Slow to get hungry and filled with unfilling love. You are eager to turn back from destroying people.

Just kill me now Lord. I would rather be dead than alive if what I predicted will not happen. Wow. Wow.

Wow. The Lord replied, is it right for you to be hungry about this? That question to me comes from a haggling of a father. Is it right for you to be hungry about this, really?

Whatever you call power in your prophetic time, I give it to you. Yet you are hungry because I'm showing mercy that I showed you too in the belly of that fish. Then Jonah went out to the east side of the city and made a shelter to sit under as he waited to see what would happen to the city. And the Lord got arranged for a nifty plan to go there and soon spread its broad leaf over Jonah's head, shedding aim from the sun.

This is discomfort and Jonah was very grateful for the plan, but God also arranged for a one. The next money are done. I've done the one head through this time of the plan, so eat without a way. As the sun grew hot, God arranged for his quatching east wind to blow on Jonah.

The sun beat down on its head until it drew fins and wished to die. That is certainly better than living like this year's clean than God said to Jonah. Is it right for you to be hungry because the plan died? Another question?

Yes, you're not retarded. Even hungry enough to die. Then the Lord said, you feel sorry about the plans. No, you didn't.

You did nothing to put it there. It came quickly and died quickly. But anyway, has more than 120 people living in spiritual darkness. Not to mention all the honey moths.

Shouldn't I feel sorry for such a great city? Is it called 18 Vasto history? Do you think I'd like to see wicked people die? It says the sovereign law.

Of course not. I want them to turn from their wicked ways and leave. And this is exactly the mission of Jesus Christ. It came to fulfill the will of God.

It came to give us life. It came to redeem us. And it paid an ultimate price for that. That we don't have why it takes to pay back.

Now, the love of God. Jesus Christ is a promised kept. Now, what that makes God a promised keeper. Nobody knows about keeping promise than God.

And that's when he says he's coming back. He's coming back. Whether we believe it or not. But it's better we believe that he's coming back.

The expression of God never lost in love to humanity. This particular description of God is something I cherish so much. And why? I grew up in an environment where we know God to be many things but love.

I grew up. I had this background where we know God to be a warrior. We know God to be a healer, a giver, provider. And truly is all this.

But there's an attribute he wants us to know. And this is love. This is what made him to send down his son, one and only. John 3 was the same.

For this is how God loved the world. I don't know if we can project Revelation chapter 5. Revelation chapter 5. And I've been dwelling on this particular attribute of God.

It took me a while to discover this. And I'm not going to let it go forever. Because my knowledge of God, proud to that time, was that it's everything but love. I have a very faint idea of that side.

And it makes our relationship a bit transactional. If I have exams and I want to pass, I go before God. And I pray. I do everything that is not, that we make him happy at that moment.

And once I have what I'm looking for, I'm done. Until it's needed again. And it went on and on and on like that. But in his own feeling of love, it kept me waiting patiently for the day.

He's going to show me more. And that was the day I stumbled on 1st John. It's a very good read. He loves us.

He wants more than what we are requesting for. He wants a relationship with us. He wants to show us his father's side. That he cares for us.

There are two attributes of God that is very common. And these attributes have been represented, like it was represented with Hanimau. How many of us remember a lion of the tribe of Judah and lamb? A ready commentary that says, the Bible uses hundreds of metaphors and images to describe the indescribable God Almighty.

Hanimau and other forms of nature can help us understand specific aspects of God's character. Jesus is called the Lamb of God. In John 1 verse 36, that was when John the Baptist, look. Now the Lamb of God takes away the scene of all the world.

To illustrate his gentleness and willingness to be the sacrifice for our sins. But he's also called the lion of the tribe of Judah in Revelation, chapter 5. To display his absolute authority and power over all creation. I would like us to put your read in Revelation, chapter 5.

I saw in the ninth of Yimau, Ussad on the throne, a scroll written inside and on the back, sealed up with the seven seals. And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with loud voice, who is worthy to open this scroll and to break its seals? And no one in heaven or on hat or on daddy hat. I want us to pay attention to that.

No one in heaven or on the hat or on daddy hat. That's what some familiar to us. Was Hebrew to open this scroll or to look into it. Then I began to weep greatly because no one was found worthy to open this scroll or to look into it.

And one of the elders said to me, stop weeping. Behold, the lion that is from the tribe of Judah, the root of David has overcome. So as to be able, the hope on this scroll and seven seals. And I saw between the throne with the four living creatures and the elders and in land standing.

As if slaughtered, having seven hunts and seven hides, which are the seven spirits of God, sent out into holy herds. And it came and took this scroll. Land standing as if slaughtered came and took this scroll, how to the right hand of him who sat on the throne. When he had taken this scroll, the four living creatures and the 24 elders fell down before the land.

Each one holding a hat and golden balls full of insects, which are the prayers of the saints. And the sign in New South saying, what did they have you to take this scroll and to break it seals for US slaughter and you purchased people for God, with your blood from every tribe, language, people and mission. You have made them into a kingdom and priests of our God. And they will reign upon your hand.

Then I looked and I heard voices of many angels around the throne and the living creatures and the elders. And the number of them was myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands saying with a loud voice, what is the land that was slaughtered to receive power? Wealth, wisdom, might, honor, glory and blessing. What is the land that was slaughtered to receive power?

If you know anything about land, you will know there's nothing like power. That sounds paradoxical. What is the land that was slaughtered? Slotted to receive power?

Wealth, wisdom, might, honor, glory and blessing. And I had every created thing which is in heaven or on the heart or on the sea again. And all the things in them saying, to whom who sits on the throne and to the land be the blessing? The honor, the glory and the dominion forever and heaven.

And the four living creatures were saying, he's men and the elders fell down and worshiped. Lion of the tribe of Judea, slaughtered land. It's amazing how more emphasis was made on the slaughtered land. Jesus Christ is both, is both the lion of the tribe of Judea.

We all know the character of lion, very ferocious, aggressive, roaring, yet you prefer the slaughtered land. It took all the same honor. We read in Isaiah chapter 53 this morning, it didn't say what, it carried the cross. It's amazing how God expresses himself through the weakest.

And I begin to think the lamb of God. I have put more attention, which is normal on the lion of the tribe of Judea. Well, hey, it is the lamb that God wants us to pay more attention to. And that's why it's laying more emphasis on that.

Because it's that lamb that finished the work. The transformation that is expected of us was through the lamb. It was slaughtered, the love of God. John, 1 John chapter 4, verse 9 to 10.

God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only son into the into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love. Not that we loved God, but he loved us and sent his son a sacrifice to take away our sins. It's unconditional, undeserving.

The Bible says it is real love. Romans 8, verse 32. I'm gonna read from verse 34 because of the time. Ooh, then we condemn us.

No one for Christ died for us and was raised to lie for us and is sitting in the place of honor and God's right hand, pleading for us, can anything ever separate us from the Christ love. Doesn't mean it no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity or persecuted or hungry or destitute or in danger or threatening with death. As the scripture says, for your sick, we are killed every day. We have been slaughtered like she.

No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is has through Christ, who lovers. This is an attribute of a dependable, reliable, and everlasting. What can separators? Nothing, nothing.

And as I love that song in Christ alone, I love it with us. No power of death, no scheme of man can ever, ever, block me from his hand. See your eary tongues or cause me whole, as believers. This is the only name we've got.

This is everything we have. And I'm so much running out of time. I have a couple of lists of what makes this name special to us. The first one is the name above every other name.

No name comes closer. And there was a price that was paid for this. Philippians 2, verse 5, 11 says, you must have the same attitude that Jesus Christ had. Though it was God, it did not think of equality with God as something to cling on to.

Sorry, instead it gave up his divine right, privileges. It took the humble position of his slave and was born as human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God. Because one man who paid, many will be saved, he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal's death on the cross.

Therefore, God elevated into the highest place of honor and gave him the name above every other name that are the name of Jesus. Every name should bow in heaven, on heart, and on that you have. Do you remember this? In heaven, on heart, and on that you have.

And every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord. The glory of God, the Father. Amen. Thank you, brother.

Jesus Christ is the only part way to God. No other way, no other way. It was having a discussion which is disciples. I'm gonna run fast here.

And John chapter 16, verse 16 to 25, is what I take a read. There is a particular verse that I love so much. And I'm gonna start from 23. At that time, you won't need to ask me for anything.

I tell you the truth. You will ask the Father directly and it will grant your request because you use my name. Wow. You haven't done this before.

It has never been done before. There's no precedence. It has never been done before. Ask using my name and you will receive.

And you will have abundant joy. I have spoken of these matters in figures of speech. But soon, I was not speaking figuratively and will tell you plainly about the Father. Then you will ask in my name.

I'm not saying I will ask the Father on your behalf. No, for the Father himself lost you dearly because you love me. Believe that I came from God. Ask using my name.

How precious is the name Jesus Christ to me? First John chapter 14, oh, it's gonna be five, 14 to 15. Now this is the confidence we have in him. That if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

And if we know that he hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petition that we have asked of him. Ask the name Jesus. Ask using my name and running so fast. This is a familiar passage as well.

I'm gonna start from five, John chapter 14, one to six. No, we don't know Lord. Jesus was having a discussion again, which is disciples and Thomas has a question. No, we don't know Lord Thomas said.

We have no idea where you are going. So how can we know the way Jesus told him? I am the way, the truth and the life. No one, contrary Father, except through me.

At chapter four, verse five to 12, Jesus Christ is the only name that saves from penalty of sin. Last 12 says there was a precedence that led to this discussion here. And it was Peter that, Peter used the name of Jesus Christ to heal the cripumin sitting in front of a gate called Beautiful in chapter three. And there was someone by the elders.

And I'm gonna start from verse 11. This Jesus is a stone that was rejected by you. The builders which has become the cornerstone. And there is salvation in no one else.

For there is no other name under the heaven, under heaven, giving among men by which we must be saved. First the saloonians, five verse nine. For God chose to save us through our Lord Jesus Christ, not to pour out his hunger on us. Christ died for us.

So that whether we are dead or alive, when it returns, we can live with him forever. There is mercy in this name. Hebrew chapter two verse 16 to 18, it says, Because those children are human beings, made of flesh and blood, the sun also became flesh and blood. And that sounds empathetic.

For only as human being could eat high, and only by dying could eat break the power of the devil, who had the power of death. Only in this way could eat set free, or who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying. We also know that the sun did not come to angels. It came to help the descendants of Abraham.

Therefore, it was necessary for him to be made in every respect like us, his brothers and sisters, so that it could be our merciful and faithful high priest before God. Then it could offer a sacrifice that would take away the sins of the people. Since he himself has gone through the sufferings and testing, he is able to help us when we have been tested. It could be our merciful and faithful high priest.

And this is the last one. It's the only name that gives eternal hope. There's no hope in this world. Nothing.

Everything that made sense 10 years ago, I don't think any of them make sense any longer. As a matter of fact, I was listening to someone and he said, there are some carriers. That may not become popular again in the next 10 years because of the emergence of AI. That's how things could change in this world.

But here is the name that gives us an eternal hope. The Bible says, Jesus Christ is seen yesterday, today, and forever. First Corinthians chapter 15 verse 12 to 20. I'm gonna read just 17 verse 17.

And if Christ has not been raised, then your faith is useless and you are still guilty of your sins. In that case, how have died, believe in Christ, I lost. And if our hope in Christ is only for this life, we are more to be pitied than anyone in the world. But in fact, Christ has been raised from the dead, is the first of the greatest harvest of all who have died.

First, be thyrist at the one verse three to four, says, all praise to God, the father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by his great mercy that we have been born again because God raised Jesus Christ from dead. Now we live with great expectation. We live with great hope.

And we have a priceless inheritance. And inheritance that is kept in heaven for you pure, undefiled beyond the reach of change and decay. In conclusion, it's a long passage, but I'm gonna make it short as much as I can. Jesus Christ has paid it all.

Whatever confidence we have, boldness we have to come to God what's true is work on the cross. He paid the ultimate price. He wrote each other's name, made us know that it is not possible for the blood of booze and goods to take away sins. That is why when Christ came into the world, he said to God, you did not want animal sacrifices or sin offerings.

But you have given me a body to offer. You were not pleased with bond offerings or offerings for sin. Then I said, look, I have come to do your will, God, as it is written about me in the scriptures. First, Christ said you did not want animal sacrifices or sin offerings or bond offerings or other offerings for sin.

Now, where you pleased with them, though they are required by the law of Moses, then they said, look, I have come to do your will. It cancels the first confidence in order to put the second into effect. For God's will, the battle is wrong. For God's will was for us to be made holy by the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all time.

I have an acronym for that, O-F-A-T once for all time. Jesus Christ sacrificed his body once for all time, and that's it. How precious is this name to me? What value do I place on this name?

Let us pray. The last time I will thank you for your love, it is unexplainable no matter how hard you try. We try, but we don't feel it. Thank you.

Thank you for your Son, Jesus Christ, whom you have given to us. The Redeemers from our sin, and to make us righteous, to be worthy of that name, children of God. We thank you, we thank you. We acknowledge the law.

We return our glory to you. We pray that you expand this word in our heart. We have meaning to it. Help the lost souls to come back to you, God.

This is your will. You don't want anyone to perish. We pray that you bring the lost souls back to you. Speak to them.

Thank you in Jesus' mighty name, we have friends.
