Tom Campbell: We’re in a Simulation — But What About FREE WILL??

The avatar doesn’t make choices. The player makes choices.” That’s how physicist and simulation theory researcher Tom Campbell answered my first question at Psi Games 2026: if we’re living in a simulation, is free will even real? His answer is a firm no — free will isn’t an illusion, it’s required. Materialism and determinism are a package deal, he argues, and so are consciousness, time, and free will. You can’t have one without the other two. Your body is the avatar. You — the awareness making the choices — are the player. We also get into why Tom believes the UAP/UFO phenomenon exists on purpose, engineered by what he calls “the larger consciousness system” to crack open how humanity thinks, and why he says love, not control, is the only ethic that holds up once you take consciousness seriously as the foundation of reality. #TomCampbell #SimulationTheory #FreeWill #Consciousness #PsiGames Watch on YouTube =========== 👁️ Watch my previous interview with Tom Campbell: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=98LsvJNL0ww&t=623s Higher Journeys Podcast Links: SUBSCRIBE: http://www.youtube.com/@higherjourneys Sign up/Free Newsletter:  https://bit.ly/3AzOPoI Support the Show: http://www.patreon.com/higherjourneys Listen on Apple: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/higher-journeys-with-alexis-brooks/id1093633203 Listen on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/42sjDuowczkkEx0TY1yvRI Follow on Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/alexishigherjourneys Follow on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/higherjourneys Follow on TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@higherjourneys Follow on X: https://x.com/higherjourneys Higher Journeys Podcast Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL5txU9kv3t7johgB9tQ-oBucB5ui5YmOO When we list any affiliate links, Higher Journeys may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you.
