Tom has been serving in various law enforcement capacities since the 80's at the local, state, and federal levels. Visiting Lecturer, University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA.Experience comes as the result of service with local (Fairfax County, VA police officer), state (Indiana Gaming Commission Investigator), and Federal law enforcement (career NCIS Special Agent). Served 6+ years overseas supporting the Navy and Marine Corps, and later the Ofc of Secretary of Defense. Founder and CEO of Talon Security Solutions, LLC, located in Carmel, Indiana, I earned multiple engagements for key personnel vetting, facility vulnerability studies, and sensitive internal inquiries.At the Natl Insider Threat Task Force, I provided expert guidance, training and recommendations to multiple government agencies on the issue of Insider Threat Vulnerability and the creation of formal Insider Threat detection and mitigation programs. As the LE Advisor for the Office of the Army Provost Marshal General, I delivered policy advice to the seniors leaders within the Army MP Corps and CID.I helped to both to create and conduct formal training for Insider Threat Personnel, Program Managers and Senior Officials from over 55 government Departments and Agencies. Hired in May 2023 as Adjunct Professor, UVA Charlottesville, VA to teach Leadership to Law Enforcement - in July presented to over 40 DEA Supervisors (Special Agents, Analysts and professional Support Staff).
