Tom shares with us his philosophy on why we as a profession have the staffing shortages we are currently facing as well as many other observations.  Proud husband and father of four, currently serving as the Commander of the Investigations Division (Howell Township Police Department), overseeing both sworn officers and civilian staff. Responsible for the oversight and administration of advanced investigations, which incorporate many of the latest technological advantages, often exceeding the industry standard. Created the department’s first Criminal Suppression Unit, which has focused primarily on narcotics interdiction, substance abuse/prevention education, and the investigation of violent crimes. Instructed both intra/inter agency training in areas of leadership, public speaking, ethical dilemmas, case law application, and interdiction tactics.Author of "Copikaze; A Crucible to Mange Mission Impossible".Instructor of Street Cop Training's, "Ivory Tower" program based on a leadership self-assessment, career enhancement, and officer wellness initiatives. This program has been presented at the national level.After attending/graduating the NJSACOP Command & Leadership Program, returned as an instructor, focusing on group leadership theories and resolution strategies. Adjunct Professor for New Jersey City University/Fairleigh Dickinson University/Rutgers School of Public Affairs & Administration (Results Driven Strategic Management).
