From 1993-98, Whaley served as the Saints’ Director of Operations and Assistant General Manager.He spent two seasons as the Director of Corporate Sales for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays before joining the Goldklang Group in January 2001. He was principally involved in the start-up of the Can-Am League’s Brockton Rox and the construction of a new baseball stadium and conference center in the Boston suburb in 2002. A year later, he was on hand when the Rox won the league championship.In August 2002, he returned to the Saints, assuming his current position as Executive Vice-President responsible for business development and was one of the instrumental people in making CHS Field a reality. He purchased an ownership interest in the Saints in 2005. He lives in Lino Lakes with his wife, Kathleen. Three grown children live in a galaxy far, far away. Whaley is the 2018 Board Chair for the St. Paul Area Chamber of Commerce. Whaley has stayed on as Executive Vice-President since the ownership change of the Saints from the Goldklang Group to Diamond Baseball Holdings in 2023.What do you want to hear on the podcast?
