Tombstone 13 (Kim Paffenroth, Gospel of the Living Dead)

from The Graveyard Show Podcast · host The Caretaker

Welcome...to the graveyard. I thought I would stay on-topic from my last podcast and continue the discussion of George Romero's zombie films. This time I welcome author Kim Paffenroth into the graveyard, and we will talk about his book Gospel of the Living Dead. The book analyzes Romero's films Night, Dawn, Day, and Land of the Dead.  We will discuss Kim's interest in zombies, how horror and religion collide, bringing academic analysis to pop culture, and we will begin a light breakdown of his book. This is part one of three, and in the next two podcasts we will discuss the four films in much greater detail. The Graveyard Show Podcast can be found on YouTube, Apple Podcast, Anchor, Google Play, and wherever podcasts are available. And as you exit the graveyard I would like to remind you to please...lock the gate behind you...we wouldn't want anyone to get out. Until next time...
