Motivated by a strong desire to address what I perceived as unchecked Islamist extremism, I co-founded the English Defence League (EDL). My leadership there was driven by a commitment to defend our way of life and ensure the safety and freedom of our communities. It was a role that came with its fair share of challenges, but it also allowed me to connect with thousands of people across the country who shared my concerns.
