Tony Bennett Remembers Part Two. ”How Art Tatum and Stan Getz helped me define my style of singing. And how Johnny Ray influenced rock ‘n‘ roll.”

from The Joe Jackson Interviews · host Joe Jackson Productions

It is very sad to see the latest news clips of Tony Bennett, who has Alzheimer's disease, but who still becomes as sharp as a knife when he sings. Singing is a redemptive art, for him and for those of us blessed to love the man's music. Here,  by way of a tribute to Tony, is the second clip for one hour interview we did in 1995. I asked Tony to tell me how he originally defined his style and boy was his reply an education and a joy. Enjoy.
