Tony Briffa

from Queer Island Discs

We packed the Chair of the ILGA World Intersex Committee (and Hobsons Bay councillor) Tony Briffa off to the Queer Island with their songs, stories, and more. Tony shared 8 song choices and the connection each has to significant personal and professional memories. They claim to be a big dag, but telling us their stories also revealed a hugely positive, joyful and inspiring intersex queer person. You can be all these things at once. Queer Island Discs is a bit like Desert Island Discs, except the island isn’t deserted; it’s full with an LGBTI+ population! QID airs Saturdays at 1pm on JOY 94.9.
