Shed with Dahveed – Episode 6 ft. Tony LambrightIn this powerful episode of Shed with Dahveed, I sit down with the exceptional Tony Lambright, a musician and creative director to talk about something many creatives struggle with but rarely discuss; identity beyond your gift. For many musicians, their talent becomes their entire identity. But what happens when your worth becomes tied to your gift?Tony shares deep insights on: • The identity crisis many gifted musicians face • Why your talent should never define your worth • Learning to steward multiple gifts • The danger of becoming a stereotype in your field • How creatives can build a life and career beyond just one skillThis conversation challenges the way we think about talent, purpose, and identity. If you’re a musician, creative, or anyone trying to discover who you are beyond what you do, this episode will resonate deeply.Find us on all podcast platformsSpotify : https://open.spotify.com/show/7c8JvLjK6Bu6FFk2Z4ZDi5Apple Podcast : https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/shed-with-dahveed/id1838134249Follow us on Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/shedwithdahveed/Follow us on Youtube - https://www.youtube.com/@dah_veed01Connect with Tony lambright jr Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tonylambrightjr/Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@UCpqtwH9DJxBexAR3yurbKrw 🎥 COMING UP – Part 2:The Shed Session with Tony Lambright & Giveaway We are dropping "In my feelings" a single from the album "so it begins"Make sure you’re subscribed so you don’t miss it!The song will drop on all streaming platforms also; Connect with us on all song distribution platforms Spotify - https://open.spotify.com/artist/5JIbkuR3MVYas5OpB1mjZDApple music - https://music.apple.com/us/artist/dahveed/1863609919Youtube music - https://music.youtube.com/channel/UC2JvjjomvYNf9o9ToMP6j_AThanks for being part of the Shed with Dahveed community.See you next week for the Shed + Giveaway! 🥁🔥#ShedWithDahveed #tonylamright #CreativeJourney #musiccommunity Time stamps00:00 - Trailer01:59 - About Shed with Dahveed02:33 - Introduction of guest03:55 - What was your motivation through the season where the results weren’t matching the effort?11:30 - What lie did you have to unlearn about yourself before your life could expand?16:08 - What truth would you tell yourself that would’ve saved you some time19:02 - Were there moments where consistency felt more like stubbornness than faith?23:50 - How did you learn to stay disciplined without losing yourself in the noise?29:39 - What made the Spectrum Center in 2019 as a game-changing moment for you?38:41 - Obsession with your assignment39:53 - Keep going40:21 - Most inspiring moment of your career so far?45:22 - You’ve been part of major live recordings and albums.
