Tony O’Kane, a Dundalk legend, shaped local football, hospitality and music. As Dundalk FC chairman in the early 2000s, he rescued the club from financial strife, paving the way for future success. With his wife, Dympna, he ran the Century Bar, a cultural hub hosting community events and music. A 1960s showband star with the Young Vikings, O’Kane recently reunited with his band Mousetrap after 46 years, cementing his vibrant legacy in Dundalk’s heart.
