Too Busy For Me with Guest, Kaitlyn Young

from The Empowering Process Podcast With Gail Kraft · host Gail Kraft

Episode 117 In this episode of The Empowering Process Podcast my guest, Kaitlin Young, shares her struggle in loving and trusting herself. She recalls her first belief that she didn’t matter was at the age of six when, after being bitten by a dog, she was told her mother was too busy to be there for her. Kaitlyn did not matter. She was unworthy, the lowest in the family, and, being home schooled, alone without an escape. Trapped in a home where she was invisible. Kaitlyn began to look for love and look for a way to cope. She pretended to fit in, she lied for acceptance, she did whatever she needed to do in order to make others happy and she became who everyone else thought she should be. She lost herself in a sea of coping. She began cutting to release the pain, overeating to hide from being seen, and attempted to take her life more than once because she didn’t matter. Her journey brought her husband into her life who has been there to help her face her demons. In here healing process,  Kaitlyn realized that there was a reason she was alive and set out to find it. Now, Kaitlyn Young is the best-selling author of “Unmasking the Greatness Within,” Owner of Social Media Doctor LLC, Proud Wife of Scott Young, and mom to 2 dogs and 3 cats. Kaitlyn found her company Social Media Doctor, to Focus on helping High-level Entrepreneurs, Business Coaches, and Consultants to create Authentic personal and professional brands across Social Media. Kaitlyn plans to open a retreat center to further help people connect to their authentic selves through mentorship and connecting to their inner selves!
