On this podcast where we relish the opportunity to share poetry and hear from the writers behind them, we are talking to the wonderful Charlotte Faulconbridge author of new book 'Too High to Function'. We talk about living with autism and how creativity helps mental health in every capacity. We talk about music as a universal language and communicating to others beyond words. Just to note that when this episode was recorded I had yet to read Charlotte's book, but now I can leave my review of this cleverly written autobiography written from the heart about the brain. Charlotte has a way of writing that transports you into her brain. It's not just the contents of the book that shows you what it's like living with autism, but the writing style that almost sounds like dialogue. It's not a conventional book, but a conversation with Charlotte herself and there are so many amazing nuggets in this book where I was laughing out loud and wanting to give Charlotte a big hug and say "I understand".
