Too Many Slices, Not Enough Pie

from SMPH. Still Brilliant. Still Stupid. · host Ami Cooke

ON THIS WEEK'S PROGRAM: We're cutting right to the heart of my criticisms of the Worldwide Leader's decision to jump the shark, along with taking a slice out of Threads, Meta's low-rent response to Twitter. But I have to ask: why fawn over a new thing that's just a carbon copy of the thing you hated so much? Guess there's a fair bit to chew on, there, huh? Also, we talk about some quality smartphones that give you great features and performance without slicing a huge wad of dough out of your wallet. We'll also be serving up a spicy slice of scathing commentary about the WGA/SAG-AFTRA strikes, and about the greedy executives who want the whole damned pie, to themselves. Finally, we put all the preceding pizza puns to bed and get literal with this week's Gem of the Gem City: The Flyiing Pizza. So grab your parm and plenty of napkins, because this crust is STUFFED, this week! Sorry, I couldn't resist that last pun. Come feed your ears.

Though I’m in my early 20s, the history of relational trauma in my family lineage coupled with my own father’s abuse and abandonment, has instilled in me a self-awareness and sensitivity to emotions from a young age. I was born in México and raised in Compton, a community where I didn’t have many mentors or influences that pointed me in the direction of emotional healing work. Still, I went on to publish The Energized Self: A Journey to Interconnected Healing, a book that is half memoir and half conversations with trauma survivors at the age of 22. This same year I began my public speaking journey and my master’s program to become a Marriage and Family Therapist. As I find myself rising to fulfill my soul’s calling today, I am still in the same location where conversations like the ones had in this podcast aren’t common. I’m also faced with a myriad of economic and social challenges that I know listeners will relate to. My goal is that Epic Real Estate Investing Matt Theriault In the spirit of Robert Kiyosaki’s Rich Dad Poor Dad and Gary Keller’s Millionaire Real Estate Investor, and as an alternate to the Dave Ramsey, Jim Cramer, Motley Fool and Suze Orman shows, Matt Theriault, real estate investor, entrepreneur and author will show you how to create wealth through conventional and creative real estate investing while improving your financial education so you will have the option to realistically retire in the next ten years, or less… and enjoy the good life while you’re still young enough to do so.
