Tootsie

Lights, camera, deception—this week, Amanda Stephens and Missy Washam are stepping into the wild world of the 1982 comedy Tootsie. With Dustin Hoffman in one of his most unforgettable roles, this movie delivers sharp wit, hilarious misunderstandings, and a clever take on gender dynamics in the workplace. In this episode, the sisters dive into the chaos of Michael Dorsey’s career crisis and Dorothy Michaels’ overnight stardom. With backstage drama, fake eyelashes, and just enough soap opera to keep things spicy, Amanda and Missy serve up their favorite moments and a few behind-the-scenes gems along the way. It’s ambition in heels, honesty in disguise, and comedy at its 80s best. So is Tootsie still a showstopper over four decades later? The Reel Sisters take on the movie that proved sometimes the best man for the job… is a woman.
