ABOUT SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE: So You Think You Can Dance is an American dance reality show and competition that is broadcast on the Fox Network, on Fox Japan, on CTV in Canada, on Living in United Kingdom and Ireland and on Network Ten in Australia. Season 12 of this award-winning dance competition features a new twist: during the audition process, dancers are selected for two teams, the stage dancers and the street dancers. The stage dancers team features those trained in styles that include ballet, contemporary, tap and jazz, while the street dancers team is comprised of those skilled in hip-hop, animation and break dancing. The top 20 dancers consist of 10 dancers per team, who face off each week, resulting in the weakest dancer from each genre being eliminated. In the end, only one dancer -- one from the street or the stage -- will be declared the winner.
