Happy New Year, Plotaholics! Shane and Bryan are ready to kick off 2020, and they are doing it right! January 2020 is going to be a Throwback to the 80s month, and with the release of Top Gun: Maverick coming in just five short months, why not start 2020 off with a bang and enter the DANGER ZONE by revisiting the 1986 Tom Cruise-led classic, Top Gun. Top Gun features Pete "Maverick" Mitchell (Cruise), a talented yet rebellious fighter pilot who does everything his own way. Despite his arrogant, and reckless ways Maverick and his RIO, Goose (played by a pre-ER/post-Revenge of the Nerds Anthony Edwards), are sent to the elite fighter pilot training academy, Top Gun, to train among the best-of-the-best to become the best fighter pilots the USA has to offer. While in training, Maverick falls in love with civilian instructor, Charlie (played by the great Kelly McGillis), and learns about love, shirtless volleyball, and flying (un)safely in the...DANGER ZONE!This is a who's who of 80s cinema!
