In this presentation, I explain common QDRO errors in legal drafting.   Many many divorcing spouses don't realize the important of filing a QDRO as soon as the divorce decree is filed.  By failing to file the QDRO timely, the 401(k) or pension account can be withdrawn completely by your ex-spouse before you have the opportunity to submit your QDRO and you will never to be able to receive payment from the retirement plan.
