Top Republicans mull idea that Speaker Mike Johnson’s leadership days numbered, ‘effective Speaker’ needed

Congress today passed a $1.7 Trillion spending bill to avert a government shutdown, the 1,000 page bill was given to Republicans less than 24 hours before being told to vote on it, contradicting Republican House Leadership rule that states 72-hour must be given to members to read bills before voting on them. Just after the vote passed Georgia Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor-Greene filed motion to remove Speaker Mike Johnson.
