TOPIC: American Foundation for Suicide Prevention

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention – Western Pennsylvania Chapter is dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide. Through research, education, advocacy, and community programs, AFSP WPA works to raise awareness, support survivors of loss, and build a culture that prioritizes mental health and prevention.From school programs to the annual “Out of the Darkness Walk” in Pittsburgh, the chapter connects families, volunteers, and professionals across the region with one shared mission — to stop suicide and bring light to the darkness of loss.
