Topic: Fighter who talked about Michelle; Evette cancelled on Frady today
from The Charlie James Show Podcast
The second segment of Hour 4 shifted to a mix of pop culture controversy and local political drama, starting with a breakdown of the UFC fighter's viral, unfiltered remarks about Michelle Obama following the Freedom 250 event. Charlie then pivoted to breaking local election news, reporting that Lieutenant Governor Pamela Evette abruptly canceled her scheduled appearance with conservative radio host Bob Frady today. The discussion analyzed the strategic implications of this sudden cancellation, questioning how it might impact her standing just over a week before the critical South Carolina gubernatorial runoff against Alan Wilson

00:02 All right, let's go. The phones are going to talk to Robert in Mills River. How you doing, Robert? How are you doing, Charlie? Man, I'm so good. I can't stand it. What's going on? Well, I just want to give a shout out to that fellow who hollered out in that crowd. You know that Michelle Obama was the man? Yeah, the fighter that... yeah. I about fell out on my chair. That was completely unexpected last night, wasn't it? Yeah. Well, that was good. That's probably... 00:32 best part of it. Yeah, you're probably right. It was because it was a good shout out. There you go. All right, Robert, I appreciate it, buddy. Thank you very much. So Pamela Evitt was supposed to be on with Bill Frey did today, I think of 135 or something like that. And apparently, at the last minute, she backed out. 00:55 Now, Bill said that she had changed her mind. I don't know the reason that she backed out, but I don't think, let me tell you something. The difference between radio and television or the difference in the perception of radio and television. 01:16 It seems like a lot of politicians don't have a problem with backing out of a radio interview. Now television, because they're going to get the pretty faces on there, oh, they'll do everything. They'll jump through hoops to do that. But no, it's just the radio. Let me tell you something. We reach more. We reach more people. You come on this program, 01:42 Listen to everybody. You come on this program, you come on Terra's program, you come on Fraties, you anybody in the lineup. You are reaching the biggest audience that you are ever going to reach. I don't care how big of a rally, at one time, I don't care how big of a rally you have, I don't care what kind of a forum you have, I don't care. This is the way you reach the most people at one time. 02:10 But they don't seem to mind about that. They don't understand the work that it goes into. I put in, I kind of got a rule here, for every hour that I am on the air, I put in two hours minimum of work for that hour. Two hours, that's minimum. That's just, I mean, I don't like to do minimum, just, all in all, that's the minimum amount of time you put in. So it's eight hours plus you do the show. 02:41 The show is not the work. The preparing for the show, that's the work. The show is the performance. That's it. So, the execution of all the work that you've done. So, it really frustrates me when people... Now, sometimes there are very good reasons for it and you have to be prepared for that. Yeah, like when Nancy Mase's dad died. Exactly right. mean, things happen. We all know that. We're human beings too. It happens. 03:09 But man, it's just it is so aggravating. So aggravating. So there you go. It's pretty amazing. All right. WRD Talkline 800-9050-989. Let's see. uh Somebody said, OK, here we go. Charlie, it's great to know. Let's see. It said, I'm still PO'd about the autism fraud in North Carolina because I live in North Carolina. I'm a single father. My son is autistic. 03:39 I don't even own a house and I can't get help on a program. was wondering maybe if you could ask your audience if they know any programs. So you folks in North Carolina, you let me know. It's the fraud. The fraud is the reason that people that actually need these services cannot get them. I want you to listen to what Josh Hawley said. This is going to blow your mind. Where's this money going? I mean, we know where some of it's going in Minnesota. It overseas. It went to Somalia. went to NGO fronts. 04:08 We know where it's gone in some other states. California gave away millions, billions of dollars to a pro-Hamas NGO. but a trillion dollars nationally, where's this money going to? I appreciate that question because most people don't ask that question. It goes to terrorism. It goes to child trafficking. It goes to drugs. It goes to terrorism. And then it's used to purchase luxury items, cars, purses, homes. 04:37 that's all funded by people like m ...
