00:00 I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. 00:27 For spacious skies, for amber waves of grain, for purple mountain majesties. 00:59 share his grace on 01:12 from sea to shining sea America is back! Yes sir! And good job on the Strait of Hormuz we appreciate all of that thank you sir and Iran in general let's go to Eric and Anderson Eric welcome Hey Charlie, I just wanted to be this is my first time calling 01:41 There you go. You get the bell, man. Yes, sir. Thanks. I wanted to talk about the immigrant issue. know, we definitely have an issue, but we also have to understand we have a cost of living problem in the country as well. And when you factor in, you you have a group of Hispanics or we call them amigos that show up and they're going to do a job. Most of the time, a lot of those guys live together. They share the same bills. 02:10 and everything else. And when they're gone, which I'm not saying that they shouldn't be, then they need to be here illegally or they need to be, you know, removed. But the job still has to get done. And what those five men were doing, it's gonna take five good old boys to show up. And those five good old boys are gonna be fathers and grandfathers. They're gonna have equipment, insurance. 02:36 They're going to be paying additional kind of taxes that these amigos didn't. So when they factor in a price and you want your house painted, roofed, a new one built, you know, the, the, guys, you know, the Americans here, we're going to have to remember that it's just going to cost more. I these guys can't, I've been a subcontractor for 30 years. And for me to be able to come in to a job, whether it be through HVAC or 03:06 construction work or anything like that, uh it's almost impossible for me to be able to compete, hire and, you know, I'm a disabled veteran, I'm a Marine. Okay, but let me ask something. If you showed up for a job one day and they said, yeah, we don't need you, we hired this other guy, this illegal alien for a lot less money. Yes, sir. How would that be? Oh, no, it's terrible. It is. So my question is though, my question is because I am pretty sure. 03:36 if there are a lot of people living in these other countries, like you're talking about, number one, we should be hiring American first and foremost. But don't you think there's a lot of people out there with some of these visas that can actually come into the United States legally and do these jobs? Now, I'm not saying we just throw the baby out with the bath water. 04:01 We need to make our immigration system more streamlined because it is convoluted at best. But we can definitely get the help that we need with legal immigrants who are vetted, who we know who they are. We've got all of the information on because some of these people we have no clue. 04:21 Oh, yes, sir. And that's the biggest problem. checks. There's no checks. And then when you got the people slipping in, we let people in. And those people are usually, I want to say back in the day, they were always screened. They went through the process. They took the courses. They took the time. They put in the work to become citizens. Right. 04:45 They took the benefit and they have not took the benefits. earned the benefits. They became citizens. are paying their taxes. are, they are officially here, but you know, we call them fence crawlers when they, when they come over, we don't know. And then they somehow through the blue side, figure out a way of getting a lot of things free. And because they're here with those free things, they don't need $22 an hour. 05:11 to work, they'll work for $12 an hour, they'll use six of it and the other six is going to go back to their family back there because there's 12 of them living in the same house. Yeah, you're right. It's a mess. It is, but ultimately ...
