Well, we were supposed to have Congressman Ralph Norman on with us this afternoon, but apparently had a scheduling conflict. So we will talk to him at a later date. So I got up this morning early, as I usually do, and I was sitting down having my coffee, doing a little work, and I said, I'm going to see some. Let me just go back and let me just. 00:29 look at these house races that we have here in South Carolina coming up for the June 9th primary. Let's just take a look at who's running. So I pulled up all the stuff. I downloaded the file, put it in a spreadsheet, and I said, here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to find all the incumbents, and I'm going to find out exactly 00:59 how conservative they are. That's what I want to know. want to know how conservative these incumbents that are running prophets, I want to find out how conservative they are. So I started looking and I was shocked. 01:16 Because I was comparing them with their freedom index score. And let me tell you what I discovered. Ladies and gentlemen, we live in a blue state. 01:25 You can sit there and call us conservative all you want to, but our state legislature is blue. 01:33 So in the House of Representatives, I was looking and I only got through 20 of them this morning, only got through 20, but out of that 20, we only had seven representatives that were solid red. Now let me tell you the uh criteria that I used. Solid red, and maybe I should, maybe I should, if I amended this a little bit, it would be even worse. 02:03 Solid red was a freedom index score of 50 or above. Yeah, I know right? That's pretty low bar. Pretty low bar. Purple... 02:16 was 49. 02:20 to 41. No, 49 to 40, 49 to 40, that was purple. Anything in the 30s or lower, that was blue, okay? Just the ones I've looked at. 13 out of the 20 that I looked at are not hard, true, solid red conservatives. That's scary. That's scary. And if I actually expanded that a little bit and made the blue category a little more inclusive, you might be getting down to five of the 20. 03:31 being good solid red conservatives. So then, not long ago, the state newspaper is now reporting that Republican leaders in the South Carolina General Assembly say redistricting is not going to happen this year. Ooh, it's not going to happen. House Majority Leader Davy Hiatt, Republican, quote unquote, of Pickens, 04:07 told reporters that the lower chamber would not redraw South Carolina's congressional map this year. Senate Majority Leader Shane Massey of Edgefield also said redistricting this year would be unlikely. Attempting to redraw the map to favor Republican candidates could make currently reliably red districts more of a toss-up. Massey said, a toss-up? Because I'm looking at a map here, Shane Massey, maybe I ought to send this over to you, but I'm sure you've seen it.
