Torres Back, Tigers Gain Momentum | Detroit Tigers News

Gleyber Torres is back on the field for the Detroit Tigers after a frustrating injury layoff, set to bat second and play second base in their opener against the Cubs. Manager A.J. Hinch calls the return a game-changer, and Torres is eager to contribute after watching from the sidelines. The Tigers will ease him back into action, with a cautious return plan as they face a grueling stretch of games. Meanwhile, catcher Eduardo Valencia has been sent down to Triple-A, though he impressed with power during his brief stint — Hinch expects him back up soon. With Torres healthy, the Tigers gain a major offensive boost as they push through the second half. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
