Tortured: Who Killed Jeanette Tambe?

from APB Cold Case

In August 1986 a couple building a new home in rural New Jersey make a startling discovery during a weekend visit to their remote property – a mutilated female body. The young victim had been bound, stabbed, and burned with acid. No identification is found at the scene, so she is classified as Jane Doe. Decades pass with no leads to her identity or her murder until 2011 when a dogged detective working on another cold case gets a hit on Jane Doe’s DNA profile. 24 years after her body was discovered she has a name: Jeanette Tambe. But who killed her and why? It doesn’t appear that her murder was a random act of violence. Was it someone she knew? The brutality of the crime speaks to a cold-blooded and sadistic killer. For maps, timeline and photos, go to:https://apbcoldcase.com/episodes
