By developing a special short-cut recording style with a simple tuner connected to a satellite dish and a manually controlled technics tape recorder, his first goals were mix-tapes filled with his favorite sounds creating patchworks or collages with advanced time-warping cutting methods. In 1999 at the age of nineteen a further quantum leap led to a professional mixing console which forced his mix-creations onto a new level. Leaving random music choices behind, the probability of controlling sounds infused by different styles surfaced right ahead. Practicing elegantly cross-fading pre listened sources enhanced playful new mix types. Transitions of multiple styles and a variety of sounds opened up a completely new universe. Soon electronically based music was focused. Since 2005 this project is called „at1st“. All mixes have been live recorded (real time production) with VirtualDJ.
