Total Recall (1990)

This week on the Everything Actioncast, Zach and Chris get their asses to Mars and discuss 1990's Total Recall, which just turned 35.Directed by Paul Verhoeven and based on the Philip K. Dick short story "We Can Remember It for You Wholesale", Arnold Schwarzenegger stars as Douglas Quaid, a construction worker who visits a company called Rekall, who can implant memories into clients minds.  Wanting a Martian spy adventure due to his constant dreams of Mars, the process unlocks Quaid's actual memories and he's forced to go on the run when people like his wife Lori (Sharon Stone) start trying to kill him and he makes his way to the actual Mars to figure out what is going on.  Zach and Chris discuss the ridiculously over-the-top violence, the many quotable lines and memorable Arnold expressions, the fantastic practical effects, why Mars would advertise their seedy red light district in commercials, the classic "is it real or a dream?" debate, and more.You can watch Total Recall on Paramount+, Fubo, Philo, or MGM+.  Next week, we enter the African jungle and dive into Congo, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary.We want to hear your comments and feedback.
