Summer of 2023 was a pretty crazy time when it came to today's topic! Somehow this movie got intertwined with the Barbie movie, and though I'm not 100% sure why this happened, it was such a fine time for the movie industry! I don't want to say that Barbie made Oppenheimer the film that it was, but it definitely didn't hurt, and Oppenheimer is a killer good movie as well!! "During World War II, Lt. Gen. Leslie Groves Jr. appoints physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer to work on the top-secret Manhattan Project. Oppenheimer and a team of scientists spend years developing and designing the atomic bomb. Their work comes to fruition on July 16, 1945, as they witness the world's first nuclear explosion, forever changing the course of history." Doyle, at the beginning of this episode, labels this movie as the scariest film that wasn't a horror film! The more and more you think about the film, and the circumstances, the more and more you think that this is probably a true statement!
